On 13 February 2023, presumed ISWAP/ Boko Haram militants who were mounted on motorcycles shot at farmers in the vicinity of Wuturo, Konduga LGA (Borno). Casualties are unknown.
On 10 February 2023, a Kaduna militia killed a farmer in Maro (Kajuru, Kaduna). The militiamen were riding on motorcycles when they saw the victim clearing his farm and shot him.

On 24 January 2023, a Zamfara militia clashed with a local defense militia at Birnin Magaji (Kiyawa, Zamfara) after the local militia chased them following a failed attack on farmers. The Zamfara militia called for reinforcement that arrived and fired grenades, there were no fatalities and the assailants fled. The undetonated grenades were recovered the following day and handed over to the appropriate authorities.
On 17 January 2023, Boko Haram (JAS) shot and killed a farmer and abducted eight others in Makilwe village, coded to Khaddamari (Jere, Borno). The militiamen contacted the victims’ families and asked for millions of naira as a ransom. 1 fatality reported.
